And if that weren't enough, if the chosen winner has used CAS-ual Friday stamps and/or dies as the main focus in the card, that gift certificate will increase to $50.

Now let's see what our designers came up with for this challenge. Please click on their name above the photo to be taken directly to their blog to learn more about the project and to give them some love.

Also, you can find direct links to the CAS-ual Friday stamps and Fri-dies that the designers used which are linked underneath their names. Remember, you don't have to use CAS-ual Friday stamps and dies to play along but if you do and you are the winner, your gift certificate increases to $50.

Introductions of the new Team -- Day 3

Welcome friends. We are back with Day #2 with the newest members of the Inspiration Squad. Yesterday, we introduced you to Lisa and Channin.  Today, we are introducing the last two designers for the Ink Squad, Ilina and Claire.

Let's get to know Ilina

Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Ilina Crouse. By day I am electrical and proposal engineer. I have been married for 11 years and I am mommy of 3 little ones ( 4, 2 and 1 years old). Originally I am from Macedonia, but moved to the US in 2004. I came to visit for 6 months, and it turned into 12 years. In my free time I love to create and color as a way to destress from the crazy and busy days. Since my first child was born my creations became more clean and simple, and I try to keep my life the same way.  I love to color with all kinds of mediums (from pencils, to markers to watercolors and so on).

How long have you been paper crafting and when did you start your blog?
I have been papercrafting for as long as I can remember. I started my blog back in 2007 as a way to share my creations with my friends and family overseas.

What are your top 3 items in your craft area that you couldn’t live without?

Stamps, inks(lots of them), MISTI

What is your favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set?
Mon Ami

Now let's get to know Claire

Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m originally from the north of England but moved to Australia after meeting my husband whilst travelling in Canada. I’ve been living over here for the last 16 years and have
two (naughty) boys aged 10 and 7, who both insist that they are not half British just to annoy me!

How long have you been paper crafting and when did you start your blog?
1   I began paper crafting after the birth of my first son - scrapbooking was my original passion, hence the name of my blog, which I started 5 years ago. After having my second son, I started to turn more to card making, simply because it was quicker and less frustrating. I was a stay at home Mum for 8 years and having a hobby away from the kids was truly a life saver. I don’t think I would have got through all those sleepless nights without playing with paper and ink.

What are your top 3 items in your craft area that you couldn’t live without?

1    I couldn’t be without my Cuttlebug. It was the first major item I bought and is still going strong after 9 years of constant use. I’ve recently invested in some more Copics
which I find totally addictive - the problem is I always want more!  I’m a total novice and look at what some people can do in absolute awe.  Of course I couldn’t be without my photopolymer stamps - like many people I started off with rubber stamps but now I find them so much more difficult to work with as I can’t see where I’m stamping!

What is your favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set?

1   My favourite CAS-ual Fridays set is Mon Ami, although ask me next week and I may have changed my mind! Because it’s an outline stamp it can be coloured in so many different ways and I love the fonts Michele has used in the sentiments.

And there you have it friends -- the new team. We will be back tomorrow with our first challenge of 2016. Are you excited as we are???

Introductions of the new Team Day #2

Welcome friends. We are back with Day #2 with the newest members of the Inspiration Squad. Yesterday, we introduced you to Kim and Wei-Wei.  Today, we are going to meet Lisa and Channin.

Let's get to know Lisa

Tell us a bit about yourself

Hi, I'm Lisa.   I'm a mid-western girl, born and raised in northern Illinois. I've been married to a great guy for almost 30 years and we raised three awesome girls together.  For most of those years I was a stay at home mom while also working and managing a family owned rental business from home.

How long have you been paper crafting and when did you start your blog?
I've been paper crafting since 2004 when I started scrapbooking.  Eventually I started making cards because heck, I already had the supplies so why not, right?  I've been making cards for about 8 years now but I really found myself really getting serious about it in 2014 when I made my first 100 cards for Operation Write Home.  That's also when I started blogging about my cards.

What are your top 3 items in your craft area that you couldn’t live without?

I set up my craft room not long after my oldest daughter moved out.   Her old room became my sanctuary and it has become my favorite room in my house.  While I can't work a power tool to save my life, I have mastered my craft tools and I definitely have a few I couldn't live without.

1. My Office Max guillotine paper trimmer.  It's large but has a permanent place on my craft table. No blades to change -- woohoo!
2. My Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine.  There's only one thing I love more than stamping and that's die cutting.
3. My MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented by My Sweet Petunia).

What is your favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set?
I'm so excited for this opportunity to work alongside all the great designers at  CAS-ual Fridays while using their awesome stamps and dies.  If I had to pick my favorite CAS-ual Fridays stamp set it would have to be the Girlfriend stamp set.  I have used that set so many times for my sisters, my daughters and my friends.  I love the little sayings that coordinate with the big, bold title words "friend" and "love ya".

Now let's get to know Channin

Tell us a bit about yourself
1    I am a wife, mommy to 2 sweet little girls (3 years and 18 months) and, until recently, a full-time student and special education teacher. About a year ago, my whole world got turned upside down when my mom had a heart attack. Thank goodness she survived but the whole event scared me to my core and caused me to revaluate things. I realized just how precious our time is. So my husband and I made a difficult decision, that once I had finished my schooling and certification requirements I would take a break from teaching. So here I am a year later, with a significantly smaller spending budget but much much more time to spend with my loved ones and to get my craft’n on (3 cheers for naptime)!

Besides loving all things related to paper crafting, I love to travel, cook (especially with my crockpot – that still counts, right?), visit museums, hike, have girls nights with my sisters and my mom, play board games, watch movies (especially my favs over and over and over again), clean my house (I know, I ‘m weird), and be silly with my girls.

How long have you been paper crafting and when did you start your blog?
1    I am a looooong time paper crafter. ;) Well, when I was really young I remember making bunches of valentines cards and trying to sell them to our neighbors and in high school I started scrapbooking, but things got a lot more serious 4 years ago when I got my cricut and discovered cardmaking, challenges, and stamping! <3 That’s when I started my blog.

What are your top 3 items in your craft area that you couldn’t live without?

1    My top three crafting items are 1) my versafine onyx black ink pad, my stamps stamp perfectly every time with this ink pad, 2) my white embossing powder, you just gotta love white embossing powder on black cardstock, and 3) my mini Ranger ink blending tool, seriously it really helps you to create seamless ink gradations.

What is your favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set?

1    It is really hard to pick a favorite CAS-ual Fridays stamp set. I LOVE sentiment stamps and no one has better sentiment stamps than CAS-ual Fridays. Forced to choose just one, I think I’d have to pick the Sassy Smiles set, I mean “you’re my best friend and there’s nothing you can do about it”, hilarious!!

I hope you will join us tomorrow as we highlight the last two of our new team members. And don’t forget that the newest challenge starts this Friday, May 6th.

Introductions of the new Team Day #1

Welcome friends. I am beyond thrilled to introduce to you the 6 ladies chosen to be part of the Inspiration Squad here on the CAS-ual Friday's challenge blog.  Over the next 3 days, you will have a chance to meet all 6 of these ladies. For today, we have Kim and Wei-Wei.

Let's get to know Kim

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am from small town Québec originally I now live in Montréal with my husband our two dogs and a crazy cat! This wonderful hobby is my well-needed break from my day job!

How long have you been paper crafting and when did you start your blog?
I started crafting six years ago to build a scrapbook for our first dog who was getting on in age and I wanted the memories to be accessible and complete. I quickly fell in love with card making and the rest is history! I started my blog in 2011 and, like me, it is a work in progress!

What are your top 3 items in your craft area that you couldn’t live without?

The top three items I can’t live without in my craft room… That is a difficult question! I would have to say my Copics, my Misti stamp tool and my Tim Holtz Tonic trimmer.

What is your favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set?
My favourite CAS-ual Friday stamp set is Truth Is. I love sending cards to my friends and this stamp set is so stained from use… it is encouraging, feminine and versatile for friendship cards.

Now let's get to know Wei-Wei

1   Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi, my name is Wei Wei. I come from Taiwan (R.O.C.). By day I am a social worker, and by night I am a card making enthusiast. I like to try out many different styles and techniques, but especially love to create with flowers. I also enjoy browsing other talented and thoughtful crafters' blog. Because of card making, I meet lots of good friends and my life is full of happiness!

How long have you been paper crafting and when did you start your blog?
It was my mom who got me into stamping when I was a 10 year-old girl, but I got totally hooked about three years ago. I started blogging in November 2013 as an outgrowth of my stamping hobby

What are your top 3 items in your craft area that you couldn’t live without?
This question is too
difficult to answer because there are many items in my craft area.  If I have to select the top 3, they are Zig clean color real brush, watercolor, and sequin.

What is your favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set?
My favorite CAS-ual Friday stamp set
 is Mon Ami.

I hope you will join us tomorrow as we highlight two more of our new team members. And don’t forget that the newest challenge starts this Friday, May 6th.

Sunday, May 1

Meet the New Challenge Director!

Welcome back to The CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!

Wow! Time really does fly when you're getting inky!
Can you believe we've been inspiring you for 5 years?!

5 years of amazing inspiration
from some of the best designers on the planet!
I'm not just talking about ALL of the Girl Fridays I've had the pleasure of working with,
I'm talking about all of YOU...the players.
You are what has made this challenge great,
You are the reason we keep doing it.
And in our 5th year we are going to do it even better!

Last year I was running 2 challenges:
1 for Clean And Simple designers and 1 for Utterly Adorable Layers designers.
Unfortunately, CAS designs were showing up at the UAL challenge and UAL designs were showing up at the CAS challenge which sort of defeated the purpose of having 2 challenges, and it got a little frustrating and confusing for everyone.
So, this year, we're going back to just one challenge
BUT,
it will be open to ALL designers in any genre!
If you're CAS, Utterly Adorable Layers, mixed media or anything in between,
YOU can play!

I'm sooo excited about this new chapter for CAS-ual Fridays Challenge
but I can't do it by myself.
I need someone who is inspiring, kind, organized and fun...
Lucky for me, I found the perfect person for the job!
I'm thrilled to announce my new Challenge Director...

She is not only a fantastic designer, but super organized and lots of fun too!
You're going to love her here!!
She just happens to live about an hour away, so we met for lunch one day and remodeled the challenge over chips and guacamole :)
We're making it more inclusive, more fun and we've got a team of designers who can't wait to inspire you!
Alanna has come up with some awesome challenge themes that you will super love!
Together, we chose 6 super awesome designers to be Girl Fridays for the challenge!!
Alanna will begin introducing them to you starting Tuesday!

Mark your calendars to come play with us on May 6th!
Yay!!!
Until then, please click the How To Play tab at the top of the blog to see our new rules.

While I would personally LOVE to see your CAS-ual Fridays Stamps creations in the players gallery,
You do NOT have to use CAS-ual Fridays Stamps in order to play or win!
However, if you do win with a project that uses CFS, we'll double the prize!

In honor or our 5th birthday
I've got a special savings code for you that is valid through the end of May!
enter  CFCBIRTHDAY  at checkout at www.cas-ualfridaysstamps.com
to save 15% on all stamps and Fri-Dies!

We'll see you Tuesday!
